About Me

Hi, I’m Rebecca or Becca! On a mission to help women like me live their thirty, flirty, and thriving life. But even if you’re not in your thirties, you’re probably still flirty and thriving, so hang out for a bit.

I plan to make this blog about all aspects of life: personal reflections, how-to guides, honest stories about my diagnosis, and my everyday life. All my stories and writings are designed to help you feel less alone, learn something useful, and find joy in the simple moments of this journey we call life.

I started this blog because I started a difficult journey at the age of 29 when I was diagnosed with stage four cervical cancer. It completely turned my life upside down. Like most people who face a new uncertainty in life, I turned to social media groups and Google to try to help rationalize what I was going through. I realized that there weren’t many resources available for people my age going through this experience. If I’ve learned anything through the past year and a half, it’s that everyone is looking for support in some way.

What matters most to me is creating a space for authenticity, inspiring creativity, and fostering community for anyone who needs to know you are not alone, and that’s exactly what this blog is all about.

My day job consists of working in a male-dominated industry, Firearms, as a Product manager. I promise this blog will not be a telling of firearms, but I may reference it from time to time, since we do spend about 24% of our lives working. I have been happily married for two years, and we live in South Carolina with our two dogs, Onyx and Oliver, and 3 chickens, Harriet, Elsa, and Amanda. I am no accomplished writer, and you may even find my mistakes from time to time. Either way, I keep it real and practical, and I’m happy to have you here.
