Hi, I’m Rebecca — and welcome to Rebecca in Real Life!

For as long as I can remember, I’ve loved sharing stories, swapping ideas, and connecting with people over the little (and big) moments that make life what it is. This blog is my corner of the internet where I get to do just that—share real stories, real experiences, and real thoughts, without filters or fluff.

Why “Rebecca in Real Life”?

When I was choosing a name, I wanted something that felt true to who I am. Life isn’t always perfect photos and polished captions—it’s messy, funny, surprising, and sometimes challenging. The phrase “in real life” kept sticking with me because that’s what I want this space to be: real. A place where I can write about cancer, menopause, friends, home renovations, and eventually (hopefully) adoption or surrogacy, and I want to invite you onto the journey with me.

What You Can Expect Here

This blog is going to be a mix of personal stories, lessons I’ve learned, things I’m loving right now, and maybe a few “how-to” guides along the way. I’ll be writing about the things that inspire me, the challenges I’m working through, and the everyday joys worth celebrating.

Whether you’re here because you know me in person or you’ve stumbled upon this page by chance, my hope is that you’ll find something relatable, uplifting, or even just entertaining.

The Journey Ahead

I’m starting this blog because I believe that connection happens when we share openly and honestly. I looked tirelessly for something like this when I started my cancer journey and came up empty-handed time and time again. I have been so fortunate to have met such amazing women (and men) who have taught me to have grace, patience, and optimism, and I want to bring that knowledge to you, my readers and new friends. Life has a way of teaching us—sometimes in the gentlest ways, sometimes in ways that make us stop in our tracks—and I want to capture those lessons, stories, and moments here.

So, here’s to the start of something new. I don’t know exactly where this journey will take me, but I’m excited to find out—and even more excited to have you along for the ride.
